About RocketQueen
RocketQueen is run by Laura, a 25 year old qualified Graphic Designer based in North Norfolk. Laura has been designing in one way or another for the last nine years. In the beginning, there was the Year 11 yearbook, followed closely with Graphic Design in amongst her A Levels. An Art and Design Foundation course was next, with a three year Graphic Design degree chaser at Norwich University College of the Arts. During this time, Laura specialised in typography and undertook two graphic design placements, one with The Sunday Times and one with GQ magazine.
Laura’s professional experience encompasses both design and project management roles. She has worked with national publishing company Archant Life, occupying the role of Digital Designer. Laura spent her time here designing print and layouts for magazines and online publications, as well as producing media packs and concert promotional material. From there, Laura became a Digital Project Manager with BLOC Media, an award winning digital agency. There she kept projects running smoothly and helped maintain clear lines of communication between client and designer, all the while ensuring that the finished digital solution arrives on time.
Laura now earns her keep as a designer at Virgin Wines and also as freelance graphic designer in her spare time. This is usually subject to a phonebox based transformation that leaves Superman crying bitter, jealous tears. Laura also likes to read, play netball and belly surf. And why the name RocketQueen you ask? Suffice to say Axl Rose has long held the keys to the ‘Queen’s musical heart.
